Hardwood Floor Sanding

Sanding is the step that makes or breaks a finish. Done right, it leaves a flat, even surface with no swirl marks or edges.

Overview

What this service covers

We use dustless, multi-stage sanding to take your floor back to clean wood, then refine the grit so the finish lays down smooth and even.

Sanding is usually part of a refinishing project, but we also sand new installs and bare floors that are ready for finish.

Our process

How we approach it

1. Rough sand

Remove the old finish and level the surface.

2. Edge

Hand-work the perimeter and tight spots the machine can’t reach.

3. Fine sand

Step up through the grits for a smooth, even base.

4. Inspect

We make sure the floor is smooth, consistent, and ready before finishing.

FAQ

Common questions

Is sanding sold on its own?

Usually it’s paired with refinishing, but we’ll scope what you need.

Will it be dusty?

Far less than you’d expect. Our dustless setup captures most of it at the source.

How many times can a floor be sanded?

Solid hardwood can take several sandings over its life. We measure first.
